  1. Thank you so much for your kind words, my RWG buddies!! It's always a pleasure to have you folks comment on my postings. You guys have an amazing collection and I've always enjoyed viewing your showcases!!
  2. Much thanks to Spinmaster for building this magnificent Rolex Daytona "Paul Newman" ref. 6263! This is my 1st Rolex chronograph and I am very pleased with it. Love the simplicity of the white PN dial, and the modified 7760 movement by Spinmaster is working great. Timekeeping is excellent and chronos are working accordingly. This one has the genuine Tropic 21 which makes a world of difference to the dial. Coming up next will most likely be gen crown, pushers, and possibly a gen 78350 bracelet with 571 endlinks. I welcome this 6263 to my current collection....and thanks for viewing.

    1675 love

JJ, the more I look at that dial, the more a 2nd Swiss at 6 o'clock appears....if it is indeed a Double Swiss, this is rare as rockinghorse chit!!! What a mesmerizing Vintage!!!

    1675 love

LOL! I was typing so fast I forgot the plural of month!! Indeed, the search is the enjoyable process that is to be cherished.....till next time, I hope to be able to showcase a Glittery Mastery Timepiece!
  5. Email them. They do custom engraving. Remember that the reference on the website is wrong, it should be Ref. 7032 for the metal bezel. If you are going to purchase, make sure you do your research on the serial numbers, and make sure they engrave 7032/1, instead of 7031/1. 7031 - plastic black bezel 7032 - metal bezel
  6. Tudor Monte Carlo Ref. 7032 Rep: USD $ 1800-2000 (http://www.jewelryandwatch.com/index1.html) Genuine: USD $ 20,000 (USED) -40,000 (MINT)

    1675 love

Hey JJ!! Is that the rare "Double Swiss" 1675 dial? What a beauty!! Been shopping for a 1675 for the past month now....still waiting for the right one!!
  8. Beautiful collection Lani!!
  9. That's gotta be the most hilarious posting I have seen in a while...but wth, these things do happen...
  10. I must admit that I have crossed over to the genuines-realm, and having to come back to community where there's so much more learning curves to be had. Tudor Snowflakes being the exception, for me. Will I ever fork out obscene less mention copious amounts for a Prevendome? I doubt it. PreV Projects are fun and I have been loving every bit of the process. Rolex Sport Models, especially Vintages like 5508, I will continue to hunt down those tritium-laden glittering dials as passion builds up progressively through phases, akin to the lunar phases of a moon. Collectively, the ratio of reps : gens will prevail, and will continue to keep those pieces for my next generations, be it a good rep or an out of box genuine.
  11. Spinmaster is Ace in my Books!! Bought a Caseback, Alligator straps, Buckles, and an upcoming Daytona!! Highly Recommended Seller!!

  12. My pick for the moment: 1. 5508 (Held a MINT one 2 months back and its been a part of my memory) 2. 6538 (4 liner glit dial with 1030 calibre.) 3. 5510 (produced in limited quanity and short period of time, 8mm Brevy)
  13. Tudor Monte Carlo - Ref 7031/2 : Single Non-Flip Lock Folded Bracelet w/ Rolex clasp (7836) with 380 endlinks --- from a friend who owns both gens. As to 94011/0, this is rather weird. Having googled for a bit, here's a chart I found stipulating 9315T with 380 endlinks to be accurate. However, I just got back from RSC, and they advised that a 7836 folded bracelet with 380 endlinks with Tudor clasp to be correct for my 94010. On my 7021, it came with a 7836 folded bracelet with 380 endlinks with Rolex crown clasp. So there's the confusion. I came across another chart before but can't seem to locate it anymore.
  14. Indulgence? This Friday morning saw the arrival of my latest acquisition --- A Tudor 94010 "Snowflake" Submariner, and it has spelled out the meaning of what Goodness means on a Friday (TGIF). This acquisition was a chance that I knew if I had a miss, this beauty would have landed up on someone's wrist in no time. After researching for quite sometime now, from my prior 68' 7021 Snowflake, I knew that these Tudors were getting rarer as the seconds tick by. The genuine fever is no doubt boiling within me, what more to satisfy than Vintages Snowflakes? Eversince Ubi's post on his beloved Tudor collection and Lani's amazing pieces were splashing all over the RWG pages, I knew I had been bitten. Eversince my 7021, I was on the hunt for a 5513 Matte dial or a 1675. While these were quite obtainable, I was on the verge of going for a 5513 when an email came in, asking if I was interested in his 94010. No date, tritium dials and hands, and in overall good minty condition --- all these exude the flavours of a "Tool Watch". It was a marriage, a sequel, a proposition to quench my "snowflake" thirst, abeit knowing that this will be a temporary state till I find my next bottle of "gen-water". So I said "Yes"! There was no way I was going to miss out on this one, and having strapped a Kangaroo-hide Nato strap on this vintage historical 94010, it was a treat --- a sensation beyond encumbered words. Engravings of the serial and model numbers are deep and crystal clear. The plexi glass is in decent shape, with the usual inevitable surface scratches. No apparent dings on the case. Tritium hands and indices on the dial match. All these signs guiding me to my present elevation. This 94010 will be strapped on for a long time in the coming weeks, as I savour every second of "her". Some shots of the "Snow-Couple" Thanks for viewing!
  15. Beautiful Daytona! I am sure you are enjoying and savouring every bit of this historical piece JJ! A somewhat similar situation has dawned upon me when I had a chance to meet the "Gens" in person just a couple months back, from a pristine 5508, to a few grails in the 30,000 Euros region of Tudor Monte Carlos, I knew I had been "vintagized". From the sharp curvatures of the cases, to the glit or matte dials, right up to the tritium-patina'ed indices, these are sights that are hardly seen in watches manufactured today. We all know that one can never own all of the available Vintages out there but as time passes by, the scarcity of these pieces just drive up the prices. It's a known fact that if we reversed back time, went back to 15-20 years back --- many of these Vintages (as we know of today) aren't even sought-after, and laid in watch display cases in shops around the world. As we transcend into technological advances that have brought information at the speed of our fingertips, our knowledge for "items of interest" are immediately known, digest and ready to be taken-into-action --- the action of acquisitions. So what's next on the menu?
  16. Great shots! Excellent timepieces!
  17. Good things come in 3s! and these are heavenly glittering NDs Rolexes..... That Glit dial....simply beautiful That Tudor .....making me want one too!
  18. Update as of 2nd July 2009: 1) Hands have arrived and replaced. While the 1st set of hands do match the indices more, these "historically correct" replacement hands look to be fitting for the age of this 7021. As far as the 1st set of hands is concerned, I was under the impression that they could've been a set of serviced but the "hour" hand is way too short compared to the genuines --- so my suspicions are with the aftermarket. 2) Gen insert with tritium pearl in transit so am eagerly awaiting. If you look at the whole watch face as of now, there are 3 distinctive colours, from the pearl, to the indices and to the dial. Kind of weird but nonetheless, I am expected the same 3 variations as well with the gen pearl. ---- Some love matching, others love non...I am kinda torn in between
  19. With the transitions in between gens, reps and frankens, here's my latest MBW 1680 --- oldskool George case, gen Tropic 127 "Top Hat (non-beveled)", Yuki bezel and pearl. Definitely more mods to be done with gen crown and tube, drilling of holes...etc. The more I wrist this 1680, the more I yearn for a gen.....
  20. They call this: The MacPam 'H' Destrolized Limilitare!
  21. Looks like a Moolaish Tudor. Certainly cannot affirm to the authenticity by such poor taken pics.
  22. There can only be the original Submariners, and you have the 3 that spells out each period when these pieces were churned out of Rolex HQ. Definitely a 5513! Beautiful, Spectacular Superlativas!
  23. Beautiful 79090, Stephane! I am in the midst of negotiating for a piece right about now with 2 sellers. Last price I saw for an almost brand new went for USD $ 2100. Others are asking for closer to 3k for complete with box and papers. Oh well, the Tudor fever never ends, does it? Almost never.... It's one of the subs that is a must-have in the Tudor line...
  24. Have been doing some research on Tudor Snowflake prices. A pristine Tudor Snowflake will command more than 3k in my opinion. On some Vintage forums, sellers are asking up to 6k these days for one that has been overhauled complete with box and papers --- whether they sell, that's a different question. I am on the verge of acquiring a 94010 and seller is asking above 3k, and this is for the head only. 79090s are hovering at the 2k and above mark, but at the low 2k's, they are almost always snapped up immediately --- just saw one excellent example fly for 2.1k. Most of the sellers I have been communicating with, wants 2.6k - 2.9k for theirs. Compared with the prices in 2006-2007 when most Snowflakes (aside from M.N) were hovering in the region of 1700-1900, prices have indeed increased. Ebay sellers are asking close to 4k for their Snowflakes. In conclusion, the vintage market is seeing a consistent rise in prices --- in comparison with a few Rolex vintages prices from 2001-2002 and comparing with their command these days, the folds of increase is simply mind-shattering...don't forget those wallets and bank accounts too.
