isnt the asian eta also 28.8k?....
anyway great watch
I'm pretty sure Silix isn't dumb enough to try and pawn off an Asian ETA as Swiss considering the knowledge of the forum members around here. He'd lose a lot more money than he'd make on this special sale.
Not to mention that the Asian versions don't have the double AR coating like this one...

Here is the watch I received from Silix, so you can judge for yourselves. I haven't taken the back off yet, but it's definitely a 28.8k movement and identical to the Steelfish I bought from Josh a couple of weeks ago.

Okay thnx dude. I looked on the website from breitling. I noticed that the steelfish has the Helium Vale positioned at 11 o'clock. On the rep. the Helium Valve is postioned at 9 o'clock. Is this a big flaw or what???
From what I understand, the newer gens have the He valve at the 9pm position. The picture on Breitling's website seems to be of an older Steelfish from the info I've received on these watches.
I hope someone corrects me if I'm wrong.

Hi all,
I ordered also a steelfish from Silix. One thing I don't understand is why the steefish on Joshua's site has the follow dimensions:
josh: Dia 43mm x 16.5mm Thk
and on Silix site the watch has this dimensions:
Dimension: 42mm x 50mm x 15mm
Pretty sure Jay just put the measurements from a standard SuperOcean on his site. You'll notice it's not labeled a "Steelfish" on the webpage. I've noticed similar typographic errors on quite a few of the rep dealers' sites.
However, the watch that I received from Jay is definitely a Steelfish rep.

hmm cos the case diameter/thickness is like the superocean, and not like the steelfish...
ohh well maybe he doesnt have the one he is selling for 225 on his website.
According to my calipers, the case is 44.05mm wide by 16.15mm thick...pretty close to the numbers from Breitling.

are you sure its the superocean steelfish
Yes, it's the Steelfish.

I received my blue face SFSO from Silix this morning and it's exactly as advertised. I'm very happy with the transaction.

I've been debating this watch for a few weeks, but this thread put me over the edge. Ordered one a few minutes ago...
This forum is going to put a serious dent in my hobby budget!

I was thinking about using some of that gun sight paint. Is it actually tritium or just some sort of luminous paint?
Gun sight paint is just luminous paint. It has to be exposed to light before it will glow.
The tritium night sights have glass vials filled with tritium gas that will glow for several years.

so, how often do you guys wind your pams..? every day? every other day? etc etc..
Usually every other day. I have several manual wind watches and all of them will run ~40hrs on a full wind.

Just curious - what are you guys paying to cover shipping?
I paid $28 for shipping to Texas via EMS...which is a little cheaper than most of the other dealers I've used so far.
Silix SOSF arrived today!

I wouldn't worry. I live in the US and received my watch three days ago, but according to EMS tracking, it's still in China.
