Hi Slask, Thanks for the advice I got back to Andrew and he can sort me out with a new strap for my Deap Sea. It has ben in the watch box for 6 months so it is going to be nice to be able to wear it again. Graeme

I gave my rolex deap sea to a friend and he has broken the strap with his fat wrists. And ideas how I could get a replacement strap as the watch is working fine?

I got the watch from Andrew or Josh about 4 years ago just glad it is still working. Glad you all liked it just waiting for the first hater

I saw a Br01 -92 which i like the look of plus there was a pic with a killer black strap with bright blue stiching on one of the threads which I really liked. I already have the SS Deap Sea Rolex so I think getting the PVD version could be a little bit of a waste. got to order today so I get it before my trip to the USA in two weeks ohhh the presure.

Looking to add a PVD watch to my collection any advice on which one to go for. I have looked at Bell and Ross,Rolex, Pams and Hubs I really like the Hubs but my budget is $300. Any advice welcome and like pics would be awesome. I know this is a little vague but I know this will be my only PVD purchase so want to make sure I make the right choice.

Is it true that the good AAA+ reps are hard to find now since there has been a crack down from police? I think that some of the posters on tripadvisor are paid to post as it is the same people over and over again. I get the feeling that they are trying to get the tourists to stay away from Karama. I could be wrong guess I wont know until I go there myself and see.

Just got this advice from a bloke over on trip advisor on Karama: "Some find it a bit run down and dusty would be my words. maybe not a shanty town but a poorer district with poor imigrant workers. I would not describe it as mini bangkok and remember a lot of the stuff is sold to support crime out of dubai and certain militant groups as that is what most of the counterfeight trade is about. I think in recent years many have come to realise that and the imporatance of not buying from these people. There not lawful so dont contribute to the dubai econmery Dubai is pretty crime free so it should be fairly safe, but i suposse going into places that are very much off the beaten track can be intimidating because you dont know where your off to, if there are false doors /walls etc there there for a reason ie the trade is highly illegal and would you do the same in your home town or down the deprieved areas of south london. A few years ago their were a couple of popular shops stick with them perhaps if there still around. green eye i think one was called and i guarantee you will pay over the odds." I am off to Dubai in a few weeks and I wanted to know if it is a good destination for reps? If so is there a good area to go to?

I got it serviced and water proofed with Briciola so the work will be top rate. Looks like it is a 60/40 in favour of taking it in the pool. Ohhh what to do

I have just had my Daytona water proof and a serviced now how comfortable should I be wearing this watch in and around the pool on holiday? Could be a stupid question but thought I would ask any way

OK so here is the deal the watches cost me $300 (each) in the first place it look like it is going to cost me $160 to get them sorted out? If I get them sorted out I run the risk that in 3 months time they break again and I am faced with another $160 cost. What would you do?

Thanks for all the posts the rad the weight came off brought a watch open as I thought I might be able to fix it but could see no way to get it back on. If i manually turn the crown it will start working again so I think there might be hope there. The Rolex has had nothing but problems since I got it. It has sec at 6 sometimes this watch can work fine for a few hours then it will just stop other times it wont start at all. I am based in London. I also have a Pam which the sec hand has fallen off so that watch is also a paper weight so I have three watches in total which I need to get fixed. So far I have brought 6 watches and three are broken but I have not given up yet just went for the Deep Sea Dweller from Josh which I hope to last a bit longer. Am I just unlucky or is this what other people have experianced?

I think the movements are Asian 7750 which I know are know to be very poor its just they cost me about $300 each so throwing them awaywould feel like a shame. Any help or advice I dont have any ability to fix these myself.

I have two watches which have broken after 12months both have the same movement both are broken and are not working is it worth getting them sorted out or just throw them in the bin?

I have a set of Calloway X20 which are a nice set of irons but I need a good Driver so was looking on Ebay and there are a few FT-iq which are obv reps. The Gen costs $500 and the rep about 1/2 so any one know a good source/website?
