  1. It is quite different and eye-catching I think... Unusual and summer-ish and PERFECT for the PVD Philippe (Flyback) yours is on the way
  2. Today I am wearing my PVD on Ferrari rosso red leather strap... (More photos and details of the strap on the Photo Gallery)
  3. PAMman said exactlly what's the case with the screws...
  4. You are kidding right? This is how leather smells.. Maybe you are used of the no-smell plastic rep straps and now the difference is huge
  5. No it's not.. Both genuine and rep buckle screw from right to left. You are wrong in this. Standard buckle it comes with reps
  6. Mark I am not gonna answer to everything that you said above. I never mentioned names or that I had a problem. If you have a problem with a member at TRC keep it there and don't bring it over. I am not registered there and don't give a [censored] about what happened there as long as it stays there. Did I said 'there' enough times? Conclusion: 1. I said: Yes.. plus a few scratches on the hands and 'maybe' dial (inevitable on the relume) 2. The Zigmeister said: if you can't accept the minor scratches then dont' get your watch relumed, that message is clear and up front before any lume is applies.....no complaints so far, so it must be acceptable to those getting it done, or they would not be coming back for more... 3. Finepics said: What The Zigmeister says about the gold hands is true "As for the hands, you will get minor scratches, but if you consider that you have to physically remove the lume with a knife, and handle the hands, there is no way to not have Minor scratches..." - they are plated in 24ct gold which means the plating is very soft and marks very easily. There is no way to polish them if marks are there Really speaking if you want perfect looking numbers etc in daylight then buy a gen or get a rep but do not lume it. If you want it to be more like the gen (and I am talking PAM's here as the lume is what they are reknowned for) then have it lumed but accept that under a loupe (in most cases) it will not look like it's been applied by a machine. Look: we are dealing with reps here, most people looking at a watch will not be wearing loupes so will not see some of the things we do. Unless you are trying to pass it on as the real thing (as does happen and these enhancements only help increase the value!!!) stop looking too closely and enjoy the upgraded watch - remember though that it is a FAKE whatever you have had done to it. So please we all said the same things... This is not a debate between anyone and who is better. You both do what it possibly can be done by hand and this is 'not' Perfect as you both said. People understand it, and people don't. People will still continue to relume their watches and others won't. CASE CLOSED
  7. Nice craftmanship but.... They are ugly...
  8. Personally I think a few small scratches they worth it (as long as they are not aweful)
  9. Yes.. plus a few scratches on the hands and maybe dial (inevitable on the relume) Of course I mean L dials... Chad knows what he is saying
  10. I think Michael & Co might have..
  11. Rep (thiner tapering) Gen (filling all the hole till the end )
  12. They are not the same (which I really thought before comparing them). Text is smaller on the rep. Also the shape is different. LEFT rep, RIGHT gen
  13. It's not just a bit crooked.. It is F**** almost ROTATED. Send it back.
  14. I think you should send it back if it hasn't improved.. Indeed the 12hr subdial running constantly means there is a problem.
  15. Aaron, I know what you mean... I know that many people here have the money but they cannot justify the purchase of a genuine UNITAS Pam. I was like this 2 years ago... What changed in those two years? Well the purchase of more and more rep Pams made me NOT EVEN THINK of any other watch to wear. Trust me the AD had some very very nice Breitlings, Omegas, and even a Rolex SUb around the price I paid for a BASE Panerai. BUT I wanted to buy a watch I will LOVE everytime I will look at it and know that I will not regret it for the next few years. I didn't wanted to do an investment. How I knew the Base was that? Because of the 'excuse' we sometimes give to the genuine owners that we buy reps to see if the genuine will fit us.. I didn't do it for this but it ended like that. Honestly whatever we will do no rep can ever touch the quality of the genuine. You do a relume, you have to scratch the dial. You change crowns you have to trim something. Change glass and it breaks... Small details that can always separate the gen from the rep. I didn;t mind and I won't mind in my future rep purchases. As for why I choose the 112, I could afford the 111H and it was available but I chose not to get it because I have WORE for many moths both 112 and 111 and I knew which one I prefered best... At the end reps made me choose without having to risk if I will like or not a watch. PLUS now I know that this watch can be for a lifetime if I take care of it.. Reps could be too but I never seen them like that (Hence I always bought the cheapest Asian versions - Quantity vs Quality was what I thought) I know frank watches like Ubi's are superb but I cannot consider them entirely reps.
  16. Thanks everyone for your kind words... It will be send for PVD (actually DLC) in 2 years when I will have no guarantee Also I don't want to post many pictures.. I think it not so fair for the guys who want but cannot have it, for me to come here and post hundreds of pictures of it P.S. Woody I posted some interesting stuff here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=9335
