  3. Hey D I do have a history with shark straps... When I was around 15 (about 16 years ago) there was a trend in greece and in my school for Camel watches.. I was in a school were most students were rich. The watches were nothing special but they were expensive for my family at the time.. SO my first ever replica was a Camel about 15 years ago with faux painted chrono.. very cheapo To cut it short after a year my parents decided to buy me as a present a genuine Camel.. I was thrilled but the first thing I thought was to change the strap.. I have seen in the same store a nice Shark strap grey/black.. and the first thing I bought then with my own money was this shark strap to put to my gen Camel So yes I am a calf guy myself (no exotics) but I have a soft spot for shark straps
  4. no its not... because i was thinking FGD dials.. which are made from 2 different parts.. the thick ss disk and a fine top layer with the dial printing. So even if I drill through it won't matter because the top dial will cover the hole!!!!
  5. Hmmm.. that makes me think.. would it be ok to make a hole in the inside of the dial so that i dont have to mess with the movement? that sounds like a nice idea..
  6. Have a great trip my friend. I wish you would came to UK as well and meet you in person
  7. Thanks a lot rob.. I am sure i have seen somewhere you saying grind it down but i was afraid of metal fillings getting inside. But your masking tape idea is perfect... again thanks a lot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. great story.. love learning small details about cultures i have no idea about:)
  9. I am in bed for the last 2 days with a great pain on my back from a ligament problem so i wear the same combo for the last days:
  10. I got this new strap for my 118.. it is an Allie brown shark customised by V I have restitched it with dark brown thread and put a sewn-in buckle with what else? A shark engraved on it I think it looks very nice with my 118...the texture is one of the best i ve seen in a shark strap similar to Simona's MUCH more expensive ones. Only thing that bothers me a bit is that at the tongue side lug it is around 23mm instead of 24mm and it shows a bit of the tube.. but I know I am a bit anal about details Anyway.. enjoy the photos
  11. well i dont even have the watch yet so i can wait for more opinions.. but i think most of the people do the cutting trick
  12. Excellent.. i think i will try your method.. as you said its not funny send it to a watchmaker
  13. And how easy is to do that? Just with a pair of pliers you bent it? I guess it is soft and breaks easily?
  14. If i buy a pam with manual wind movement and seconds @ 9 like the usual Marinas and i want to put a base dial with no secs what should i do? Is it something i can do myself ot i have to send it to a watchmaker? I haven't done it before so any help info would be appreciated
  15. Only the 195 was DLC.. all the others were PVD. Forgot to add.. AMAZING watch and strap choices
  16. Nice watch but as I said before Strapculture strap are S***.... You are not the only one who had a rush wearing them ( I know more than 5 people). Plus the smell in some of their leathers is the least I can say 'strange'
  17. WOW... great strap.. LOVE IT!!!

  19. Excellent choice.. you have as well best of both worlds now... Congrats !!!!!!
  20. Yeah right.. .I am sure you are joking Here is a photo of the 202 already on a watch.. It seems perfect to me.. And why relume them? To glow like a torch like DSN does on watches who were supposed to have tritium?
  21. Please stop sending me PMs I am not the seller.. I was just the first one who got them and posted on the forum... As far as I know they were all sold out from the first day!!!! Only thing you can hope is IF a member who got them wants to sell his in the collectors area... highly unlikely though
