  1. Hopefully end of this month
  2. I can bring one with me and you can try it on. If it is standard rep case it will fit.
  3. Same opinion here.. Looks genuine but.. there are all the parts out there now to make a 1:1 010 franken without noticing. Especially with the amount of white dials that were sold lately. I would say be very cautious.
  4. V

    Bad day

    Sorry to hear that Dani..
  5. I have added the Black Strapmasters Prada strap... Love it.. Have a similar one from Jetan but in matt. This one is more posh
  6. Same here... Nothing works for me either. No email notifications, no fast reply...
  7. Very nice straps Simon.. Love the croc with the Pre-A buckle as I already told you. Loved putting it together Also I have to say that the PAV with the logo buckle is as good as it gets... Ineed Delta is a good friend of mine so you will definately source him one logo buckle
  8. LOVE that strap my friend.... I have to get me one as well:)
  9. Well that's not the same.. The Metta is just a very interesting kind of hide not signifying anything. The baseball hide is some kind of an american symbol. The south flag is ok on top of Duke's Dodge Charger but would be ridicilous on top of a Ferrari.
  10. Very nice straps in general but still I cannot understand what's the connection with the Panerai brand. I think they do not fit well as a concept. Ammo yes.. but baseball straps? Do they play baseball in Italy?
  11. Apparently from some private emails from respectable vintage collectors and people with extensive knowledge of Panerai history, in this photo there is a rep buckle restitched on a vintage strap. Don't ask me why but if we won't have the back of the strap to see if it has been tampered or not this photo proves nothing defacto.
  12. Thanks my friend... I understand why they banned them from Psti.. Everything started when your friend E started to produce his own rep version. Have to give him credit though that at least he said that they were repros Btw can I have the XXL strap please? I won't stop asking until you say yes Here is a nice closeup of my buckle:
  13. Warren, I am 100% certain that they are tritium so bid on
  14. Excellent pictorial Jay.. Thanks a lot
  15. I have to be honest with you but although the strap hide looks AMAZING I am glad I haven't bought it.. The stitching is seriously crooked on this one and especially close to the lug part where it is the most important place visually. Of course some people don't really care but I couldn't live with it to be honest. Btw. the new one you bought was 'dark brown' and not 'cigar'
  16. Also.. 111 I series has greenish tint and 112 I has purple tint. Aaron/Quarks sold his 111 and got a 112 because he prefered Base and because he didn't liked the greenish tint on his 111. As I see Slai's 111 has also that greenish tint. My 112 in every corner you will see it it will never be green.
  17. Indeed.. purple mostly. It can be be misjudged though as blue from someone who doesn't know the colours very well
  18. Here is the photo tootall has posted over at Repgeek and can add more to the controversy that maybe? the Strapmasters GPF buckles WERE indeed genuine? For many months people on Psti were asking for a photo like this doubting the originality and NOONE until now has ever been able to find and post one.
  19. Really???? Sorry but haven't followed that thread after some point.. I am going to check it now (if I find it)
  20. Because the way it was made is difficult to be replicated with newer technology laser machines. The original was made in a pantograph (or something like that machine) and the engraving was stamped on and every one was different than the other There are also some other reasons but the point is it hasn't been done properly even if it has been tried in the past
  21. Thanks guys.. Some comments on the replies.. First of all I agree with everything FGD said.. It is definately NOT easy to replicate and it is almost impossible to do it 1:1. Kevin has seen more than 20 genuine buckles (which is amazing if you consider how many they are) and still he was not been able to replicate it so accurately that it would be indistinguishable from the gens. The process of making them as explained by FGD is very old skool PLUS half of century of military use is not so easy to immitate. Also thinking like iceberg's is what hurts our hobby. The worst thing you can do is try to pass a rep as a gen even if it is only a buckle. I think it shouldn't be mentioned not even as a joke @ Slai: GPF stands for Giovanni Panerai Figlio and Mod Dep for Modification Department although I am not at all sure for the 'modification'? @capice: Indeed they are also other people who replicated the GPF but they are so bad it is an insult to even put them here Like for example the atrocity DSN sells with springbar!!! and huge double the size of the gen size.
  22. Thanks a lot Although I am not quite sure you will be able to see it in your 210 I like the thread as well, but I think it will look better with khaki.. We'll see when I will do it
