    Listen Listen

Happy birthday my tasteful GGG friend
  4. Rob as I said to you privately, there is a time for us long-time members where you need to take a step back and see the things into a different perspective. The Christmas spirit seems like Grinch spirit this year at RWG and I believe that this period of time is the best for you to take a break. Enjoy your holidays and when you will feel re-freshed I am sure you will be back
  5. Good luck Rico to you too then. Do you know what it is ? Boy - Girl?
  6. Ok.. And I will show you how to recognise a perfect hide from a mediocre one
  7. Keep up the good work.. Practice and only practice will make you better and better.. If you need any advice or a live tutorial during Christmas let me know
  8. Glad to hear from you Diego.. I know it will be difficult but I also know that the pleasure will just be amazing. Wish you best luck as well but the second is easier because at least you know what you re doing
  9. Again thanks a lot to all the new wishes... We found a name for our boy and we are more than happy
  10. Thanks a lot Eric.. Do I see a Pam through the jacket?
  11. Not in Greece.. don't know anything about bad luck.. same bad luck as picking wedding dress with your wife and seeing the bride dressed before the wedding? I chose the dress (since it was from Vera Wang and I was paying) and gave the ok to my wife in her last tryout About the kid.. yes we are supposed to do that .. give the name of the husband's father .. but i am not doing it. We don;t like the name that much and we want to find a very cool name from Ancient greece.. Paul/Pavlos is a good name.. but very common and we cannot justify not giving my father's name for another common name
  12. Thank you very much my friends for the wishes ... They are much much appreciated. Btw Freddy yes I am thinking of engraving his name (when I decide it) to the custom Unbranded Cali dial radiomir I am building and is at The Zigmeister's at the moment
  13. Thanks guys.. thanks a lot for the wishes.. Since this is our first child we are very happy and very anxious of how it will be with the little devil running around us. I am sure it will be at least exciting
  14. Thanks The lady doing the scan when we were leaving said 'good luck with this guy' and smiled.. I guess she knew what we will go through
  15. Btw I NEVER trust Paneristi with their opinion.. Look here: http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/thre...ately+%21%21%21 Philip has an ENORMOUS amount of PAV straps (not just duplicates) and he cannot recognise the 91 which is Burgundy with wrinkles from a tan strap.. Not only that after this guillermo, another big PAV straps collector, and says that they all thought it was a 91 because he couldn't see the buckle ??????? And then Covac questions Philip when couple of hours ago he bought a BLOODY awful replica strap with suede brown colour as a PAV91 !!!! http://www.network54.com/Forum/353393/thre...%2A%2A%2A%2A%2A Well I can only say one think : Most of the guys there are just bloody rich and they don't know what to do with their money and buy straps and watches... Only few of them have a real insight on Panerai's history.
  16. the anomaly one .. with this you learn the dimensions of the child and if everything is ok.. Everything went perfect.. although it was moving constantly. Btw they tell the gender of the child as well.. It was not very hard to understand it though from this picture: Hands behind the head and doing the finger I am a boy, I am SO COOL and [censored] YOU all
  17. He is definately wrong.. The guy who couldn't recognise a bloody awful Dsn rep from a genuine has no right to speak about straps even if he has them in doubles. Having money to buy something doesn't make you an expert. And you probably did wrong the numbers.. 90 and 98 are Kodiak and not the 99 which is FAR from waterproof.
  18. I believe that the buckles collection can mostly be done by a strapmaker or someone who is a friend of a strapmaker (heh Simon? ) Valerie (the girl you talk to at Strapmasters - is the wife of Jeff) and Jeff are great to deal with. I ordered buckles for a customer for whom I was making 4 custom straps few weeks ago and they were perfect. Screw-in buckles unfortunately are just boring. BTW the buckles in my post are: 1st row: OEM Panerai - LOGO - Wojtecki 2nd row: Mario Paci LE - Manifature Firenze - Strapmasters XaMas 3rd row: Simon - Strapmasters maiale - Mario Paci This photo is old though.. From then I had some more and especially those: Genuine GPF Mod Dep - Vintage GPF - Mario Paci
  19. First of all and most important.. Those buckles are SEWN-IN which means a strapmaker must put them in a custom strap or in an existing strap by someone who can do it. Mostly the buckles are transplanted by other straps. Some of the buckles you can find them here: http://www.network54.com/Forum/353393/thre...28Jeff+Meyer%29 Logo buckles are either transplanted from the OEM MX straps or from another source.
  20. Agree for the plain ones.. As far as I know ONLY the PAV90 was waterproof.. 91 and 99 were DEFINATELY not and I just put a 'maybe' to the 98.
  21. My condolences for your loss Laz..
  22. I agree.. with the leather came a 2 A4 explanation from Rob how they were producing the leather and tannign at the end of 17th century.. Extraordinary process.. The leather is from Russian Reindeers amazing for its ability to withstand abuse. The characteristic amazing smell is a mixture of birch and tar oil (where the leather was stayed for couple of months) and of course the ocean
