To be honest if you have the extra money to spend go for the 219.. I found a great deal from William Loi in Singapore when I was looking for my first gen but I had to act fast and I lost my chance.
The last months I think I am turning destro.. i find it more comfortable on my left wrist and the 219 is more limited edition with all the good looks of the 112. If I had to give my 112 for another Pam at the moment that would be the 219.
BUT on the other hand it is .. well the same watch with the 112 but with a different cg for 1100euros more.. I know it is more limited but does it worth the extra money?
Well you know my answer to your question... DO IT.
Another forum member has bought a BN 111H and he has sold it to buy a 112I and he enjoys it twice as much as the 111...
You can't go wrong with BASE.. PLUS so many different strap combinations.. almost every strap looks georgeous on it
plus.. the price is making it a great deal as well
W I understand what you say.. and I have mentioned them that I am a diver (yeah right ) so take good care of the re-sealing of the watch
Anyway I think I found a reason for the mystery...
When returned back the watch in the nice Panerai customer service pouch, they have put a plastic sticky cover on top of the crystal (like the ones they come with the reps)
Maybe this had a substance on it that made the glass more sticky..
Other explanation is that I use much balsam cream the last days for my hands because of the weather and they are more sticky as well
But the watch was in immaculate condition.. i have just send it in to clean a small particle of dust inside the dial
Anyway.. it seems probably at the end that they haven't changed anything and it is just me and the stories i ve heard about Panerai service
Forget it.. it is installed correctly..
I put a crystal upside down on a jimmyfu case.. then i found a nice trick to compare it with the correct one..
Take a ruler and put it on the case. On the correct installed glass it cannot stay flat.. on the upside down it stays flat on the case...
Excellent my friend... great tip indeed.. Two bulbs proved it is single AR as I would expected.. because anyway Panerai doesn't do Double AR.
Now I have to find out if the crystal is inside out.. that I am afraid the it can be the case
Any tips for this?????
[censored].... Bloody weather.. EMA airport is closed due to heavy snowfall.. No departures after 18 o'clock.
I was 5 hours at the airport and the flight was cancelled... Unfortunately bye bye Koln
Well I send last week my gen 112 to the Panerai service to clean a small dust on the dial.
Now that I got it back I have a strange feeling that the glass instead of only inside AR coating that had before now it has both sides AR coating..
I think it is more intense than before...Is there a chance that they have changed my crystal???? I haven't paid anything of course because it is still in guarantee... why change a brand new glass for a new one with their own cost???
Anyway maybe I am paranoid and there is no outside AR.. but for some reason i think it catches easier smudges on the crystal and more difficult to clean...
Is it possible to have installed it upside down??? :p
What can I say.. people do mind for a datewheel or a cyclops of their 27,28,29,63 and not for the case...
Strange people the rep collectors
P.S. Cases are now sold out.. I got the last 2 I guess
The 001, the 127 Fiddy, some of the Subs (new Arktos, 187, 024, 243 etc etc.. other more others less..) and of course some older models maybe.. 029, 063, 028... anyway.. all of them have flaws to instantly say they are reps..
Its just that in the H,I series historic models the flaws are much more than the models mentioned.
Thanks guys.. I will definately try Kolsch.. maybe go to the factory for the tour if open and have time..
Marco unfortunately i dont like the bracelet on my pams but to be honest the last months the humidity here in Midlands Uk is 90-99% so I guess it doesn't go much more than this
