  1. one side of the spring bars on both sides of my tag link chrono 7750 have come out (it wiggles and i can clearly see one side of the spring bar on both ends of the bracelet have come out of the hole and are just wiggling) how should i rememdy the situation ?? if i need new springbars how much should it cost ?
  2. how do you know you've wound it enough ?? hmm im getting scared now, definetly gonna take it to a watch smith when i get back to toronto
  3. one more stupid question i dont know if i force changed the date when i first got the watch, or if i overwound it either ... would a watch smith be able to tell if my movement is trashed ?? do you have any recommendations for shops around the GTA ??
  4. phew, if The Zigmeister says its ok then im satisfiedwhat thoughts do you have on what i should do next.should i take both of them to get them serviced (i dont even know what this means) or just wait till something goes wrong before doing somethingp.s. where bouts canada are you from exactly what places would you recommend in the GTA region to do service work ?? (assuming you're from teh GTA region)
  5. so why do i hear recommendations of never pressing chrono reset without first pausing it ... i didnt see what happened and i dont want to try it myself to test it. this is an asia 7750 too so i dont know if this has any effect
  6. yeah i know but if someone did press reset when it wasnt stopped what would happen ?? would the chrono break completely or just wear and tear ??
  7. help, ive got a rep of a tag link chrono with the a7750 (28,800bph) movment and my friend told me he was playing with my watch and pressed the chrono reset button without first pausing the chrono. i heard that you should never do this (i dont know why) and as far as i can tell the chrono still works. what should i do !?!?
  8. actually it looks like that somewhat, maybe a bit worse but i cant really eye ball it that good after seeing that picture though i'm much relieved
  9. the chrono the same jitteryness affects the planet ocean as well so i dunno if it's me just being nitpicky 28800bph translates to 4hz right ?? if there are 4 steps in a second the human eye should easily discern this but im not an expert of watches so i dunno if this theory is correct as for the spring loaded ball bearing id assume this this would be on any watch that isnt button release its basically a hole with a spring in it and a ball bearing lying on top which juts out of the hole a little, then a metal cylinder/gasket goes on top of the ball bearing to seal the entire thing and prevent the spring from shooting the bearing back out the hole, the bearing can be pushed in towards the spring but not out past the gasket. the thing is the gasket was either too small or the hole drilled was too big and as soon as i popped open the clasp the little bearing and spring shot out to who knows where
  10. should be the 28,800bph one atleast thats what it lists it as any known solutions :S on a seperate note i popped out one of those spring loaded ball bearings that holds the clasp buckle thing together, the other one is still secure and still works but does anyone have a solution on how to fix it ?? will a watch smith be able to pop in a new spring, bearing and seal it ??
  11. I got a black tag heuer link chrono with an asia 7750 which has a second hand which moves in a really jittery fashion, almost like a quartz except with alot more little "steps" is this common with asia 7750s ?? (sorry i tried searching on the forum but havnt found anything, all i got was stuff about the smaller second hand :S) on a related note, i also got a 4th gen PO 42.5 mm from trusty time which is suppose to have the Swiss ETA Movement 2824-2 and its second hand also moves in the same jittery motion, is this normal ?? is this actually a swiss movement :S i'm kind of a newb in watch terminology and function so please bear with my vocabulary
