  1. TSWatch is a guy named Mark, he's been around a long time, is a TD on RWI forum I believe.

On this SL version, look at the bezel numbers, they are nice and thick, I know people are waiting for Noob v2 with thicker bezel numbers, this one has it already.

I'm no expert but, what do you think of this SL version? Looks pretty good to me

  2. Great introduction and welcome, nice to see you're doing your research.

Just a friendly tip from a fellow 6.5" wrister - some of you wishlist choices such s the Hublot diver, maybe too big for you.

After buying a few reps that turned out to be just too big for me I've had to adjust my desires to watches that I can realistically wear, and not look weird on my wrist.

When possible I go to an AD and try on the watch, especially if it's on the large side.

Tried on Hublot BBs 4 times, just can't live with the strap gapping on either side of the case. Still trying to decide if the Omega Ploprof is too big for me or not (tried that on about 3-4 times at AD).

  3. Thanks indy.

I kept going back to your pics and thinking "Indy's looks so much better, doesn't have the issues with the bezel my QC pics have, I just hope Andrew doesn't give me a hard time about it".

I am really psyched about this GMT, I keep seeing it written up in magazines and blogs, very hot right now.

  4. There is a forum member on Repgeek, I forgot his screen name now, who claims to be currently dealing with David and receiving watches from him on a regular basis.

Maddening for the people who lost money with DW, and, of course this being the internet, who knows if that's even true.

I for one came so, so close to tying to buy from DW, glad I didn't.

  5.  Update: four days and no second set of QC photos. I e-mailed Andrew yesterday asking when I would see another watch, he said to be patient, the factory has a big backlog from chinese holiday.

Honestly, I like Andrew, his response time is phenomenal and he is very polite, but he is a drop shipper. Keeps saying the factory is dealing with this.

The members photos I've seen of the blue/black GMT don't have the flaws of my first QC pics, so I know it's possible to get a good one.

I also ordered a Sinn Regulateur that had a big hair on the dial and a scratched hour marker in the initial set of QC photos.

    Of course I rejected it.

Now waiting for QC photos on the second set of watches.

  6. Well...I received my first QC photos of the Batman from Trusty, and I did not like the bezel markers.

Some of the number "1" had blue missing from one of the corners, not clean and crisp. Also the top of the triangle was wavy, bumpy, did not have a nice clean curve like in your photos, indy.

    Sloppy, sloppy and unacceptable.

I let Trusty know about this on Thursday, still waiting for another watch to review. Sigh, now the waiting begins.

  7. Nice, thanks for sharing.

Personally I feel a bit uncomfortable going to GTGs and showing my collection out in the open in a restaurant with so many onlookers and evesdroppers, but in this case it was your friendly bar where you knew people, and could leave your watches on he table.

  8. Good question, been researching this myself for some time before I spend $600 - 800 on one.

So few have one that it's impossible to get an accurate sampling.

I've read of a few that have developed problems with the movement after some time, and finding a watchsmith to fix it was near impossible.

I also read that the movement is unusually loud.
