  1. timefactors.com has rubber straps in colors and some nice long nato/military type straps

Been to watch prince before but never timefactors. They actually do have some cool nato/Rhino straps that would work in orange. Pretty cool! What about more orange rubber straps? Perhaps with a quick mod I can use one of the orange Omega PO straps and remove some of the logos? :bleh:

Any other ideas besides our regular strap links?

  2. Greetings,

Does anyone know of a good source for diver watch straps in more colors than black? I have a couple that could use some new colors such as orange, yellow etc. I can order the regular citizen aqualand watch strap directly from citizen as always but for some reason I would like to try an orange strap. :p

    Any ideas?

  3. Holy crap... it pisses me off so much even though i know it could happen.

I got the wrong watch (dial colour is grey instead black), moreover it's a version that doesn't exist in genuine otherwise i would keep it avoiding waste of time and money and above all Customs issues.

Now i ask you..... how much shipping to China will cost to me (and to the dealer, sorry but fifty-fifty is fair considering mistake is not mine)?

    have you got any tips?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks lads :)

From the US with registered Air mail to china is approximately $13.50.

  4. I just received mine yesterday. It's really nicely distressed and I put it on my Davidsen PVD. I will be buying more. especially with the 35% introductory discount they are running.

They look great! I might have to get a couple sent this way. I don't think they note on the website but I assume they come with a screw-in buckle?

  5. Kev,

As you probably understand, this is now the state as of yesterday with my 212. I'll let you know how it goes.

First of all you are doing much better than most by opening your case

    and discovering the problem. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Next I would suggest that you invest in some basic watchsmithing tools,... very cheap,

    and found all over ebay.

Then you could tighten that screw yourself, and maybe handle other problems

that do crop up from time to time with any watch, gen or rep. ^_^

  6. Greetings,

I have had an asian PAM212 7750 for about three months now and today I noticed that the automatic movement "top half circle" (Think it is called rotor) was stopping on the lever that was starting the chrono. (turn the watch around you can see this is what is engaging)

Curious as I am, I wanted to se if the lever was just off or seated incorrectly so not having any tools, I removed the caseback with one of those plastic "towels" that you use on sticking jars and it opened up.

After investigating the movement from a distance with no hands or fingerprints, it looks like at first the blue "screw" holding this start/stop lever down was very loose and needed to be tightened and it was also off the notch where it was sitting. I managed to move it back with a small tweezer on the notch but it still looks like the screw needs to be tightened with a very small screwdriver to put this back into place.

Now, I contacted the dealer to see if I they would still be able to help me but it seems that this should not happen this quick? For the record, I didn't buy the 212 for the chrono and I don't need the function but I figured I would ty it a few times to see if it worked. It seemed to work just fine but very tough to reset with the 4 c'clock button.

Is this something common our friendly repair people can fix or service along with the regular 7750 service or am I better working my way back through the dealer.

    //Thanks

  7. This is a Europelli Cordovan caramel special edition.. (unfortunately for you not available New anymore)

See the black back of the strap.. BoB's vertigo don't have black back.

    Thank you for the info!

  8. Greetings,

I have been collecting beautiful strap pictures from RWG. The below pic is my next PAM and I can't for the life of me remember who's watch this is so I can find out the manufacturer of the strap. Any ideas? Is this one of the BOB straps?

  9. I just sold my 7750 powered 212, but never had a problem with it in the short time I used it. Chrono worked absolutely fine too.

I also have a PAM212 Asian 7750 on mine and it works like a charm. One thing I have noticed is that some days it runs 10 seconds fast and other days it runs more than 2 minutes fast. Does this happen on the Swiss 7750 too or is this something that is more common in the asian version of that movement? I guess service is in order... or perhaps sell the one I have and get the Swiss Joshua version with the correct black dials? <_<

  10. Greetings,

Next on my list might be one of the Omega PO's. Although I think you can't live without a good version of the regular Omega Seamaster, I don't think it is one of the coolest watches out there. However, after seeing the pics of the new PO's, I must have one! Are they not released yet or are the models still in the design phase? I can't find them anywhere on the Omega site so are they still in the works, followed shortly by a good rep? :Jumpy:

  11. Have you even held a gen IWC? I'll tell you that photo's don't do a IWC justice. IWC doesn't have any gimmicks or bling bling.... they're just classy and elegant. And very very well built and high quality watches. I'd take the QVC style logo over a bling bling Rolex crown.

Here are a few shots of the gen IWC's I own. I just picked up the Portuguese... that watch is beautiful!

These are my photos that I took, and I'm no photographer... but I'm sure professional photos make the watch look much nicer.

Nice Pictures sye46... you do a very good job I think. Like I said, probably a preference issue and I bow out. I think I saw a IWC in the new flick Harrison Ford was in. That looked like a pretty cool product but the strap made that model I think.

  12. that's so funny that you want a red vintage daytona - any idea how rare/expensive those watches are?

Tell you the truth... I am just so bitten by this bug these days that I buy watches that I like and look good. Next on my list is the Bvlgari Titanium from Andrew, and after that I just told myself I need a Rolex and that's when I started the research. After reading for a day or two about the problems with Daytonas I think a vintage model that looks cool is great and probably a little better. Also, I have the old Casio look alike model already so buying the Black Submariner [which I have been told needs to be in the collection at some point] just isn't on top of the list. After that, I guess I just need the Omega Seamaster and the collection grows again... :g:

  13. Don't ask it!

    Don' tell that name!

    Don't even think about it!

As for me, my tale is exactly opposite of yours: I stumbled upon RWG while I was surfing the web searching for PAM reps... :D

At first I didn't like Panerai's either but then as my signature says, now I own two. Personally I don't get why people like IWC? Are they not ugly? :whistling:

Let the flame war begin! :p
