I completely agree....the 3717 looks great with a kevlar strap. My problem is deciding whether to get the straight black kevlar or the kevlar with white stitching, either way can't go wrong. Good pick up!

Hopefully all of my "newb" question threads aren't starting to annoy anyone....With that being said, I have a few questions about the IWC FA Jones. 1) Was a black faced gen every made?? I seem to only come across the white face gen models. 2) I am also thinking of purchasing the white face Jones rep with blue hands. However, I've read the painted blue hands are prone to chip because the dial sits too close to the crystal. Has anyone had success bending the dials down or possibly purchasing real blue steel hands instead of painted. Thanks in advance! -Sean

As you can probably see from my post count I'm new to the forum. First, thanks for the great website and community. Now, I have fallen in love with the IWC watches. After browsing I've come across the IWC Vintage Repeater (I did a search and came up with minimal results). I originally wanted the Portuguese until I read of the problems. In came the Repeater....I really like this simple watch. What is the general consensus on this rep? Somewhere I read that the watch is actually 40mm not the 38mm listed. How does it compare to the gen? Maybe someone who owns this watch can chime in. Thanks! Here is a picture of the watch from ?Joshua's? website.
