  1. I ve seen it in stores. although i hadnt liked it when i 12st saw it in pics i have to admit that this blue color is very very bright. It is an eye catcher. I cannot explain how they managed to do it but you have to see it live to believe me. It will be really hard to replicate this blue color imo (much brighter than the 16610 TTs)

  2. Absolutely fantastic photos, amigo :good: As before, utterly kills that myth about not getting reps wet ;) I bet after six weeks of wear, the watch has now aquired 'beater' status and doesn't come off :tu:

Thanks for sharing the adventure :good:

I agree! I am kinda obsessed with water restistance of the "water watches" ... i mean the watches that are manufactured by brands specialized in underwater acitivities as Panerai or Rlx. ..

I have dived twice with my DSN PAM @ 20 meter deep during summer and the watch is still my daily wearer not loosing a second!

  3. I disagree with you completely and others who dont agree with me either.

"If they can make a perfect version from the beginning, why wouldn't they?"

why dont you ask all the rep manufacturers this?

There has been NO exact replica of a high-end watch on a 1st generation rep! They can make it exactly the way the gen is on the first try but do not. Ask yourself why.

The only logical reason is because they want to make more money by offering more generation reps period!

Exaclty. The chinese rep manufacturers though do not seem to be very adaptive to the new world economic situation. People will buy less reps now, they will wait for the one with a top quality and the recent "rep history " has proved my statement. Remember the Sub, the YM and other reps. People who have waited, invested some 500$ and got the best of the best. Instead, you give 300$ every time a new "improved" variation is presented to the rep public ...

  4. George told me the refurbished 2007 Z serial actually has a 2008 v2 case. So it's good because the CGs don't need trimming. But there's a catch. The cases are factory rejects. George asked me if the forums would buy them. I turned him down. I said why not dump them to Mr. Lin in Bangkok. He said Mr. Lin still got those v1.5 that are not moving well. So he came up with the idea of "refurbished". I know I'm not supposed to say everything. But I have to give you all a "buyers beware". These refurbished 2007 Z's have problems like uneven crown guard; crooked tube; bumps and scratches on rehaut, etc. Everything else, e.g. dial, insert, crown, etc are all good v2 stuff. It's a good deal if you put in some work yourself. Uneven crown guards can be fixed by shaving them till they are even; crooked tube might be fixable by reinstalling the tube and screwing it in tightly; bumps and scratches on the rehaut can be polished away.

    wow! useful info!

... bk: A man of the community.. not a dealer... :) You are definitely on our side my friend!

  5. Well thank god the TZ folks still haven't caught on that we had figured out the recessed cannon pin 3+ years ago and started installing H3 pins on our PAM's...according to that one poster, that's the way to spot a fake PAM. :)

The less they know, the better as far as I am concerned, although many probably are reading this right now and members of this forum, but lets not mention that on TZ...it would not be acceptable.

...or the discussion on the two variations of the number "6" on the ceramic (bezel of) GMT II ..That discussion was insane :)

I had posted some months ago another thread on timezon (i think): There was a member over there saying something like that: "Have you seend these guys, the RWG? They can replicate anything. Scary thing" .... Scary thread that one, scary thread the other one... The world of watches became a "State of Fear" obviously.. :busted_cop:

  6. Hi all, also a noob to this have bought many a watch and so far have been extremely lucky, stumbled across Josh and Andrew by avid searching and then lost complete touch as domain names changed so frequently. fortunately have found Josh again at jpc8118.com, just out of curiosity has anyone dealt with bigbigwatch? as they offer the same products, free shipping with more than two items and if the items get stuck at customs apparently will ship again until received. Want to purchase two of the Swiss Eta sea-dwellers but don't want to loose any money through customs or being ripped off. What's your advice?

You are not going to be scammed buying for the recommended dealers of this forum. They all provide high customer service

concernign big watches , it depends on what you ocnsider big. My uncle (an owner of gen rlxs since the 70s) saw my 44mm PAM on my hand the day before yesterday and he was "shocked" by its size. Imagine me wearing a UBOAT or a 48-50 mm watch.
