  1. Hi All Looking for a 19mm leather strap with a deployment buckle for my speedy DayDate. Looked on the usual sites but no luck, so wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction pls? Cheers.
  2. Hi All I love my first rep from Andrew his "Perfect Sub". It hasn't left my wrist in nearly a year, and is starting to show signs of wear and is losing more and more time as "time goes by". As mentioned in another post, the date insert is coming unstuck too. With all the nice 2008 copies out now, I have been bitten by the bug again! I was looking for advice on a rep that is "waterproof" for daily wear & swimming. The watch really does not leave my wrist, to the point I would certainly forget to take it off in the shower/bath. I also think it's a shame to take a watch off when taking a dip on holiday. Shouts a fake (or over protective owner of a gen) and flags security worries. So PT says his watch is 5atm from factory, but not recommended for swimming. Any other recommendations out there? Cheers Lee
  3. Thank you all for your quick replies. As I don't have the tools to open up the watch and take the bezel etc off, so its over to a watchsmith. I have sent a couple of pm's to Tom Highway, but no replies yet Can anyone please recomend a UK based expert to fix at the watch for me? Thanks again Lee
  4. Hi All Bit of advice please... I have the Ultimate Sub from Andrew. Never left my wrist in nearly a year, apart from adjusting the 1min per day loss (should say I only adjust once a week or so) But twice a month on the 7 / 8th and 22nd / 23rd the date change is "lazy" Normally it clicks over at midnight, but twice a month it slowly changes, completing at about 09:20 Any ideas??? Is it an easy fix for someone??? Can you recommend someone to fix/service the watch in the UK? Thanking you all in anticipation Lee
  5. Tried & tried - so you must be having a laugh... 'cos it wont budge & I don't want to damage it I know I from the north of England, but I am still no gorilla
  6. Uploaded a picture to this link The site it came from (don't want to mention the name at the mo) has been excellent - immediate response "send watch back for a replacement and as a good will gesture will waterproof the new watch to 3atm". Sure from the service regular posters will know exactly the watch came from Should be good enough for day to day use showering bathing etc. Think this is probably the best way forwards - do you? Going to have to search the beast way to post. Thanks for your help EDIT SMALLER PICTURE
  7. Hi All Ooops Sure someone did say there is no such thing as a stupid question.... Perhaps this is the exception to the rule. Got my wife a Day/Date, she likes the bigger, but not too big watches. Arrived this morning from Josh. So I wanted to check it all out set the date/day & time etc, bit for the life of me I can't figure hope to open the bracelet. I think its called the Presidential Rolesor Bracelet. Aligning the Bezel? It is slightly wonky - is it possible to realign at home?? Or will I have to find a friendly watchmaker Thanks Lee EDIT D'oh - just need to be a little firmer on the clasp - didn't want to break it (well thats my excuse) now open lol
  8. Hi All Been reading, reading & reading joined all 3 of the popular forums and I hope I have made the correct choice. Both dealer - Andrew and Watch - "the Ultimate" Was set on a Daytona - the nicest Rolex IMHO. But yes, everyones comments put me off. I would like a watch for everyday use to replace my old gen Tag. I do not dive, rarely swim, but can never remember to take a watch off to shower or bathe. So the ultimate seems ideal. The common theme is to get a rep serviced asap - if Andrew is a good as everyone says - this has been done. This is good as i do not know where to take a rep to here in the UK the "ultimate" voids the additional expensed and inconvenience. Its also nice to think that the watch can fool most of the people most of the time. One round on the golf course will probably tell a true tale. Also if Andrew does answer his own emails and is to be believed, the ultimate is his fav sub rep. Perhaps the extra $150 wets his tongue Finally here in the UK I am able to take advantage of the exchange rate. $488 is the same as a watch from any high street, but who has a hobby collecting watches from Wallmart/Asda Opps nearly forgot to say thank you to all members of this informative forum. Kind regards Lee p.s. promise to post pics when it arrives
  9. hi all Noob here, but been reading and reading. Now I need your help PLs. I did set my sights on a daytona its the best looking rolex IMO but the modded movement seems to be a stumbling block for a first rep Joshua's perfect sub looks the part with Swiss movement and o rings But the omega watches seem popular So can you PLs help with a watch that will never leave my wrist? don't do any diving i just swim in a pool or on holiday in the sea only I never can remember to take a watch off to shower etc Thanking you all in anticipation
