The glass/crytal on the Subs, Yacht's, tona's, and DJ's.. what is it?

I have been reading so many different threads and each one seems to have a different name for the "crytal" cover over the watch.... So I pose this question... What's the best quality crytal offered on the subs, yachts, and what not now adays... What do gen's use?

I'm buying a couple watches from Chris at Eurotimez, some are noobs some are euro's.. Is the crytal different? Whats the best crytal I can get, that will truely be completely scratch proof.... (Like my gen rolex is)

The cheaper watches will probably have mineral glass (essentially garbage), the higher end pieces will have crystals constructed of synthetic white sapphire, similar to the genuine article.
