Snrubb Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Does anyone know what size case tube I need to put a Gen Crown on a rep case? Thanks!
tanya Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 The Zigmeister should know. He had the thread on that 188 with a newly manufactured tube and gen auto crown fitted. Sbrubby If you have a bead on a gen steel auto crown please let me know I need 2.
PAMman Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 It depends what type of gen crown on which model watch. The current gen, handwind crowns will fit Jimmy Fu's case tubes - I have one on my franken preA1 which has a JF case & tube and it fits and operates perfectly.

Gen manual wind crown on standard rep case. What size is the Jimmy Fu tube?
Logan Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 I've got 4 genuine crowns and they all have differences. You really need to measure the crown dimensions and custom make a part if you want a perfect fit.
RWG Technical Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 My solution is to machine a new tube on the lathe, drill the case to accept the new tube, press it in place, and install new o'rings on the crown to provide a tight seal against the tube.
