mastergod Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Hi all, Looking on the bay for a vintage pocket watch movement to install in DSNs 6152-1 case with a "Gruppo Gamma" dial (dial bought from our esteemed fellow here on RWG, fits 6497)...can anyone please share some info on which pocket-watch sizes are acceptable? Found a nice size 16 for example...Will it fit? Thanks to the seasoned RWG supporters for any info which will assist my buying of parts for a watch worthy of the amazing dial... Kind regards, MG
RWG Technical Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 Size 10 is just slightly larger than a 6497, needs a bit of filling around the outer edge to fit a Fiddy case. Size 12 will also work, but you need to remove about 2mm around the outer edge to get it to fit the case. I have a number of each sizes from various makers that I use in my project watches, Hamilton 916, 917, 921, Burlington, etc...
