IWC Portuguese Chrono Movement Replacement Question

We all know about the running seconds at 6 problem even with the supposedly "new" "29j" movement. I was thinking about perhaps picking one up anyway and just let it die when it needs to die.

Then I was thinking, replace movement with either a gen 7750 or serviced normal Asian 7750. The idea is, freeze the seconds at 6 and just use the chrono seconds hand as my faux seconds hand. Will running a seconds hand all the time on a gen 7750 or serviced 7750 kill the life of the movement or require much more frequent servicing?

I read in gen Omegas, power reserve drain from running the chrono is actually pretty minimal in the less than 10% range.
