Everythingape Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 (edited) Here's a link that shows Panerai's close connection to action and violence! Panerai in the movies.. http://www.strapculture.com/gallary/Gallerypage3.html If it's good enough for The rock, The Transporter, Sly and Arnold, it's good enough for me! (and Hugh Grant, knowing he did Liz Hurley on a regular basis, has to be cool too..) Kan anybody tell me what Statham is wearing here? http://www.strapculture.com/files/JasonStatham8.jpg Edited August 17, 2006 by Everythingape
olreon Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 hello, no, it is a small pam. a 40mm chrono with el primero movement. looks like a pam072 with leather strap. best wishes olreon
Hari Seldon Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 It's the super limited 196 Daylight alarm model. (by the way, where do you think the name "Daylight" in the Panerai line came from?)

I thought that Daylight came from the Stallone Movie. Sly was a big reason that PAM gained traction in the US. No?

Yes, I haven't seen it in a while, but some of those pictures on the page that was linked in the first post are from the movie Daylight I think. I don't actually know about the watch Jason Statham is wearing, I remember at the beginning of "Tthe Transporter" the Panerai he has on has an alarm which I imagine was added through foley editing. I am guesing that was what movie the picture is taken from, but I only saw it once and am not sure.
Finepics Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 It's certainly not a Daylight. There are only two lines of text on the dial, the daylight has three lines. If this is a 40mm PAM then it will be the PAM 74 as the 72 came with a steel bracelet.
Everythingape Posted August 17, 2006 Author Report Posted August 17, 2006 Thanks for the replies guys, after seeing the picture I have to agree it looks like the PAM 74, I'm still trying to decide which Panerai to get, and I have no overview over models and numbers yet.
