JimmyT
The bezel on my SOH 46 is really loose and I'm not into pulling watches apart and was just wondering if it is a thing I can get tightened. At the moment I've only got to brush it against a rough coat or mateial and around it goes. Any thoughts or suggestions from you wise gents would be greatly appreaciated. krpster
Sounds like the spring inside the bezel that creates the tension and the 'clicks' is loosening off. The only way to address it is to remove the bezel and reshape the spring to improve tension. Unfortunately I have heard that attempts to remove the SOH bezel cause it to become so badly damaged that you cannot fix/re-install it. One possibility would be to ask a dealer if they can get you a new bezel and then install that after removing the old one.
<OFFICINEPANERAI>
Thanks for posting this question, I have also wondered the same. I hope this doesnt take off topic, but if the "black sticker" portion of the bezel happens to be scratched or dinged, is that portion replaceable ? I hope this doesnt take off topic, but if the "black sticker" portion of the bezel happens to be scratched or dinged, is that portion replaceable ? It is if you can get a new one. Just have to CAREFULLY pry out the old one, clean up the mating surface and glue on a new one. I am not sure if the gen fits though. Same as above about bezel assy, if you contact one of the dealers they may be able to get one for you. @JimmyT Just now saw the image of your watch. It is a V1 so it may be difficult to get parts for it.
JimmyT
Success ! I got a little PVC glue and warmed it up a bit and dribbled a tiny bit into the crack between the bezel and the case, wiped off the excess, let it dry in a nice warm place and voila! Problem solved. The Bezel is now in the correct position but wont turn unless I give it a good twist. I don't care about the fictionality of the Bezel, I have a Gen SMP 2254.50 for that and the Breitling SOH is a fun thing and only really a look ......so Yee ha. I still luuurve the blue SOH 46 and it keeps really good time. (gains only around 3 seconds over about 60 hours) Thanks for all your replies guys and adios from Oz Jim T
