vdubpower Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 please chime in on these before i pull the trigger, much thanks
modelizer Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 Do not know enough about the GMT, so I will leave that to the experts. The Milgauss GV however, is the second best version IMO (have had two in my collection). But if I were you I would go for the latest "1:1" version instead (same price) which is more accurate overall. Like blue lume on 3,6 and 9 markers, a slightly bigger dial/ thinner bezel, and slimmer crown like the gen. I have the later one on my wrist while posting this (making the typing take twice the time - can not stop looking at it).. /modelizer.
b16a2 Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 +1 The GMT looks like the best version around at the moment, I really need to get my hands on one of those!! The Milgauss though isn't the latest one, the crown is massive on the one pictured Try and ask for the supposed 1:1 built with genuine version.
vdubpower Posted September 3, 2009 Author Report Posted September 3, 2009 both these versions are asian 21 versions, i wanted to get base models i think the gmt looks good, tho i cant tell how close the ceramic is to gen. i saw some gen pics which were wow. obviously but i hope these have some sort of characterestics of the gen ceramic
docblackrock Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 Steer clear of that GMT - has a very old style 'large coronet' crystal etching and crappy DW font.
AllergyDoc Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 Look at the difference in the "6" date font. Josh's "Swiss" version: Yours: Yours looks like the date font of the cheaper versions. The 6 is too wide, IMO. I'm fussy about that. You might not be.
vdubpower Posted September 3, 2009 Author Report Posted September 3, 2009 im not so fussy abt date font, but i am about the ceramic bezel isssue on RG one member doesnt think this is ceramic, what do u think
