vlydog Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Has any of the WM9 sub owners out there switched out there ETA 2678-2 automatic movements for an alternative? If so what did you use and how did you fare? 2824 2836? Thank you.
klocklind1 Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Has any of the WM9 sub owners out there switched out there ETA 2678-2 automatic movements for an alternative? If so what did you use and how did you fare? 2824 2836? Thank you. On the WM9 sub v2 case You should use the 2836 movement because the 2824 is the wrong hight ( BK told me that !) You must have a movementholder for the 2836 movement also! The LV sub ( from WM9 !) has another case than the V2 sub with the 2678-2 movement.
vlydog Posted October 3, 2009 Author Report Posted October 3, 2009 BK sent me a brass ring that he said would be necessary in the event that I was to ever swap the movement. Thanks klocklind1
theblueprince Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 (edited) Why swap? I thought the 2678 was to allow the correct crown height that 2824 and 2836 do not? Edited October 4, 2009 by TheBluePrince
highoeyazmuhudee Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 the wm9v2 sub still has a wrong crown height, but i believe the LV case can house a 2892 or 2824 with correct height
