Packard
The Sinn watch is said to be made in Germany. German law allows that to be said as long as the final assembly is done in Germany. For example, my Walther PPKs pistol was manufactured in Portugal but the grip halves were not screwed in. The grips were screwed in in Germany and they were allowed to say, "Made in Germany". Similarly the 924 Porsche was manufactured in Spain but the seats were not bolted in until they arrived in Germany. Made in Germany. So anything that says "made in Germany" is highly suspect to me. The movement is "automatic" but no further information is listed. Does anyone know anything about this company? http://www.watchbuys.com/store/pc/showSearchResults.asp?VA=0&ProdSort=&iPageCurrent=2&iPageSize=65&PageStyle=p&customfield=&SearchValues=&exact=0&keyword=&priceFrom=0&priceUntil=999999999&idCategory=0&IdSupplier=0&withStock=&IDBrand=17&order=3&SKU= Edited October 19, 2009 by Packard
eunomians
Mr Sinn has been at it since the 1960s. It's nice to finally see his stuff really get the attention its always deserved. Most stuff of his is indeed made in Germany (I'm sure there's exceptions, as with most things these days). He has been making parts in Germany for other watch companies for 3 decades.
