Omega Smp Crown Tube

Hi all.

I am in need of a crown tube for the classical SMP (black model but that shouldn't matter).

I dunno exacltly how to get one

Do you knows if a gen would fit ? (observing the broken one i have it look too cheapo to be made to gen spec).

And if not, does anybody knows what are the spec (diameter, lenght ..) i should seek for ?

I'm almost positive the genuine tube will not fit without modification to the case.

I think the gen tube is threaded on the inside, not outside like the rep.

I have heard of someone fitting the gen, but I am sure that I remember he said that he had to drill the rep case to make it fit.

I think i could try to drill the case because finding the exact one for the rep might be hard.

I have been able to source gen crown (for case 168.1640), but not the crown tube, i still cant find it's ref in omega part list anywere online.

I guess ofrei could deliver based on the case number though...

If by chance anyone has an extra (rep or gen ) laying around i am interested ..

Hey I have done this in my bond smp,

As has been said you will need both the crown and tube as the gen has internal threads.

You can get a tube Here .

I did not have to drill the case but did need to glue it in as it is a press fit and not threaded to the case.

You probably should also order some stems just in case the one you have now ends up being short with the new crown/tube.
