ddesj74
Hi, was wondering, I was shipped a GMT with the eta 2836 with a standard datewheel ( not the corredct font and was wondering if the date wheel from an asian automatic can be interchanged with the 2836? ubiquitous
Usually yes, but it depends on the candidates that said datewheels and dials are coming from. Typically, the datewheel is a simple overlay; i.e. a thin metal disc that the date is printed onto that repositions the date to line up with a Rolex dial's date window. In most cases, the datewheels are the same, but there are exceptions to the rule.
