watch4me
Hello, I recently purchased a rep U-Boat with the "asian 21j automatic movement" with faux chronograph. Since I don't wear the watch everyday I have to wind/set it often. Lately the watch has only been running a few hours after setting it. Is there possibly something I am not doing right when winding the watch? Is there a certain procedure for setting these watches? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Member X
I always try not to handwind automatics after what I've read on here about bent teeth on gears I think the best bet is just to wear the watch to wind it. I've found that the asian autos in mine start up pretty quickly if you place them face down in your palm then swirl the rotor anti-clockwise a few times to give it a bit of a wind to get going
