I have read that someone mention the miyota movement is a straight swap with asian autos. ( even the rep hands wll fit ) I like to ask is it possible to buy a seiko or citizen auto watch or some other brand which has these miyota movements in it.?? ( could the seiko 5 or cheap citizen or sandoz etc) thanks i advance it can be done , i swaped an asian 21j movement from 1 of the 1st PO'S that ttk sold to me a while back , lucky for me it was a direct fit ill post some pix of it soon .. just 1 thing b4 you do the swap .. the sweep of the original MIYOTA is very choppy almost quartz like . the asian movements that come in todays asian reps sweep much more smoother .. so if you can live with that than good luck ill post some pix later on .. But the reason I thought of buying a brand name watch is that I thought the movements in them would already be properly oiled and adjusted. hence it may last longer then the standard rep movements.?
