question on sandwich dial assembly

i am putting a sherry sandwich dial together. have soldered on dial feet for the cortebert movement(a jig is way to do this, much agravation until that sorted). my question is what is the best way to attach the base dial to the top dial ? dial stickies ? how were the originals done ? but i think the originals were much thicker. should i lume the base dial first or assemble the dials and then lume ? what should i use for the aged resin look ? thanks

I lume the base dial first and have it to the point where it's almost dry, then I put it together!
