nakortheblue
To white dial rubberclad owners, how accurate is the sub dial color to the gen? The photos on the dealers' sites show a darker grey than the photos of the gen. I'm trying to decide between the black and white dial rubberclad. I like the contrast of the white dial but I'm not too sure about the sub dial color.
Guest Sql_pl
I am in same boat. They are both a bit incorrect. Black rubberclad has too shiny subdials, had one and it does not look spot on. It also may have troubles with lume that tends to fade to bad looking grey when exposed to sunlight. Here are some pics of mine: White rubberclad is what I am thinking about getting now but the subdials seem to be too dark and what is more the date window surround should be black and all reps have it in silver. Here are wristshoits of white (pics courtesy of italiano17771) I have new Survivor and Black Themes on the way so I will think about it but will probably end up getting a white rubberclad too in couple of weeks. Thanks!
nmachen
The rep subdials are definitely too dark. I had the chance to see one at an AP shop and the subdials are a very light grey, not the darker grey we see on the reps.
nakortheblue
Thanks for the feedback. Looks like the black dial will be less of a tell. I think dial reluming will eliminate the grey lume issue.

Thanks! You got Survivor?! I am, very much looking forward to your review. I am if I may say surprised you got it, I have been reading the comments about the pics. I got the impression it was a no go... I tend to agree with a lot of your posts, so please enlighten me to your decision because I want to get it but held off. Guest Sql_pl
Just found this pic: Look how dark gen subdials of white rubberclad can sometimes be. Good for us

1976
Go for the white theme it looks better in my opinion and it has the best lume from all the rep APs
mumum
How accurate is the white Themes in color ? Are the dials the right color? Or is the black themes more accurate? I am really torn here. I got the black but really wanted the white. Thanks.
Guest Sql_pl
Black is more accurate.
nakortheblue
Black themes should be the most accurate roo around save for the silver surrounds for the hour numbers (or the lack of).
mumum
Thanks. I feel better that I got the black Themes. The silver surrounds (lack of) are actually hard to notice when wearing the watch (per my observations on comparing them over the net).
