paragonrep
http://puretimewatch.com/index.php?productID=1527 This one's been out there for a while but I haven't seen any reviews or heard anyone talk about it. It's the design of the new blue ceramic sub (and perhaps the black ss due this year), PVD'd, glide-lock clasp, and factory waterproofed. Any thoughts on this piece? Guest techlogik
First, there is no Gen Submariner Prohunter. discoverprohunter.com makes these watches in limited supply and jacks the price up double of Gen pricing. But, they look pretty good, and if you like the PVD, it is pretty accurate to the prohunter they make.
paragonrep
Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it and thanks for the prohunter link. So I guess it hasn't gotten any chatter in part because it's a fantasy model?
rolexmaniac88
well, prohunter did make some submariners but like two years ago. The model you referring too is inaccurate at many levels: First, the model they tried to copy is not out yet. Second, the prohunter version of the 16610LV will have a pro hunter in red, not the word submariner. Third, the bracelet is completely wrong for this model. Last, don't buy this since prohunter didn't yet make this model because they would like to wait till the Basle Watch Fair 2010 to see if Rolex do indeed upgrade the Inserts to Ceramic Inserts. However, if its a pvd version you are looking for, you could very well buy a rep of the first submariner issued by pro hunter. I don't know if the PVD quality is any good but at least the rep is correct. RM
fakemaster
The Pro Hunter is not always in red. The thing you need to understand about these watches is when PH makes one they only do 100 - 500 pieces. All of them are either allocated and and sold out before the release date. Or they go very quickly. They are purchased by the elite. Almost all overseas as well. So unless you are uber wealthy, a hollywood celebrity or a Sheik, if someone does know what the hell it is they will know it's fake anyway. So get whatever you like.
