PAM Crown clarifications

Hi.

For a while I've become slowly more confused over how PAM crowns should be.

I thought I had it clear when it was more or less clarified that say T60 is for autos, and T48 is for manuals.

But I keep reading occasional comments over spring loaded crowns.

So can someone please clarify what PAM reps should have ie what do gen's have?

Manual = spring loaded 48 tooth crown? Or 48 tooth non spring loaded?

Autos - should be spring loaded 60m tooth crown, or non spring loaded 60 tooth?

Or some other variant (manual and auto)?

Or has it varied over time?

All Pam crowns are 48 tooth... the T60s were a mistake and is why they were cheaper after the T48 was produced... some like the look of the T60 but it's not correct for any pam. All Gen pam crowns are spring loaded... in order for T or palpatine to produce an affordable crown for the rep community, the spring loaded aspect had to be omitted.

but it should be noted that DSN does offer spring loaded crowns and though aesthetically width wise they might not be the favorite, the do add a gen like feel to a watch when correct ly used. I have one on a 195 and its really good, and I one of his Springers put on a 003 , this required a new tube to be drilled and installed. They provide a better feel and action than the non spring loaded versions IMHO.
