kronos twin Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Hello all, My Zenith Chronomaster open, the one with the seagull lemania movement inside (which I love so much!) won't wind up to full power. In fact, every time I try to wind it, the crown resists me so much than any power I put into the movement will spin back and the power reserve marker will fly back to zero. Is this movement dead? Or can a watchsmith with basic knowledge fix this? Help please. Really.
FxrAndy Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 I am sure that any watch smith with experience in those type of movements (venus/lemainia/seagull) could fix it, the way you describe it is sounds like the click is not engaging and holding the winding wheel. If i remember rightly on the seagull the winding train is a bit buried under the chrono start/stop levers
kronos twin Posted February 23, 2010 Author Report Posted February 23, 2010 That sounds exactly right. I hope I can get it fixed. It's one of my favorite pieces. Not accurate, but it's a beautiful timepiece on its own. Thank you for your insight.
