Speedracer422 Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Hi, I', putting another watch order in soon w/ my dealer and I saw i watch I really like, but it is a chronograph model and claims to only have a 21 jewel auto movement. My only Chrono watch currently is a BCE which has a clone 7750...everything works perfect including chrono functions. Now typically, i see 7750 movements or quarts for chrono reps, but seldom 21 jewel movmements. My question is, will a 21 jewel movement give enough juice for chrono functions to work? Or will all the subdials just be for show on this watch? FWIW, here is the watch in question: http://www.timeshops.net/Vacheron_Constantin_Geneve_automatic_SS_1285-3764.htm Thanks, Speed
Speedracer422 Posted March 15, 2010 Author Report Posted March 15, 2010 Ok, thanks. I went ahead and ordered it anyway. this will be my first "non functioning chrono" rep. I just love that bracelet but don't want to spend $300 on a good non chrono version w/ the same bracelet :/ Speed
