Good afternoon(or evening) rwg,

I'm planning to build a 29 or 63 since andy's 2893-2 are

available....

But not sure where to start from...

I'm quite sure getting a el or similar 2836-2 modified watch

would be the easiest route (and swapping the hands with a Dsn 2893-2)

but since these are not the fastest way :(

I'm looking at josh's version...

Is it possible to get one of these and swap the movement and hands?

How accurate are the dials compared to the el's?

Your input is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance ,

hkt

Well, it's not an easy task! Sourcing the parts is a bit of a nightmare, not to detract you from doing it, but just to let you know that the build won't be quick! Plus, what fun would that be right? Sourcing the 2893-2 movement is probably one of the easiest to get. Finding an EL watch is pretty difficult and not cheap either!

063 for example, a 2893-2 swap you would need DSN's GMT hands, correct! EL dial is most accurate, DSN dial is pretty sweet with the lume and the version on Josh's website is good.

Sending you a PM...

Date wheels and cyclops would be my major concern.

With the re-issue of the 29 this year you kind of hope the factories get there act together a build an ultimate

Good luck with your build.

Short of getting an EL 029 or 063, you might have better use for the 2893. I am in the smae boat as well. Bought the movement and now don't really know wat to do with it but I am quite sure I'll think of something.

I am in the same boat too. Don't know what to do with mine neither. Anyone well come to take my spot on fixandy 2893-2 purchase. It is already here just and pay him and he will ship the next day.

Leo & Takashi are in the process of making DW's for the 2893...so, just a matter of waiting at this point! Myself included :D

DSN and cartel 063 and 029 dials are crap along with the case backs... you need to source the EL dials otherwise you'll be extremely dissapointed. Very hard part to come by as only someone who wanted the EL case for another build would have a left over dial... you're better off waiting for the whole watch to become avail.
