Do dealers share the customs risk - or is it just on the buyer?

Hey there all

Have made a few purchases - mainly from Josh. No complaints. Good, responsive service. Last month I ordered an Hublot Black King which he Fedexed to me via Kazakhstan and Paris. Paris customs confiscated the watch.

Just out of curiosity - does the buyer carry all the risk here? I have all the correspondence with customs and FedEx and they flat out say the watch has been confiscated on suspicion of being contraband.

Any input from this experienced crowd would be appreciated.

I think most of the trusted dealers here will send out one more watch as a courtesy, If something happens to that watch then your sh#t out of luck. To lose two watches In a row would be rare but It could happen. Mike

I have had three reps deliverd while I was not at home, no big deal. There was a note stating they would try to redeliver the package with in a week. I just went to the PO and picked It up. Mike
