straight_six Posted April 4, 2010 Report Share Posted April 4, 2010 I just got apparently genuine 702 tube (no reason to doubt, although no gen package)and it seems that the 702 crown I thought was genuine, doesn't fit... Namely, I had an aftermarket 702 tube and the match was perfect. Only now I understood that the crown (stem part) will not fit through the serrated part of the tube. Something is not genuine here it seems...? I could drill the serrated part after installation though. Thoughts? Alternatively, anyone has a 702 crown he wants to part...? Kurt? Jojo? Anyone? Luna Posted April 4, 2010 Report Share Posted April 4, 2010 Could it be that one is the new style tube, with the spline at the top, and the other is the old style, with the spline at the bottom. There are also at least 2 spline sizes, 3mm and 1.8mm I think, maybe you have an incorrectly labelled tube?
