daanv
Hi! I bought an SMP lately from Stan over at repgeek, and one of the springbars broke so I went to a watchsmith to get some new ones. I noticed the ones it came with were heavilly bent, so i figured I might just replace the entire thing. I did however notice that the new springs wouldn't snap in place, so the old ones were probably bent for a reason. As it seems like a huge waste to bend these new ones, does anyone know how to make it work? anyone have any experience with this? Daan
offshore
Some spring bars MUST be bent to fit. Depends on the bracelet/strap, and the position of the lug holes. There are pliers for this very job! http://watchbitz.com.au/shop/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=278 Offshore
daanv
didn't have to bend them after all, just give it a little extra push with the sharp end of my springbar removal tool and they snapped right in place (and I don't think they were supposed to be the bended ones, because they wouldn't fit the strap if they had to be bent)
