BigNickD
Gentlemen - I am new to the world of Panerai and while price is no object (as long as we are 1/4 of gen), I am having some difficulty choosing the first piece to get me into this brand. I have read numerous reviews and the like but want some directed expert opinion - I was looking at the New Davidsen 111E or 111H. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks. Drulee
The last batch of DSN 111H dials had a problem with the shape of the "3" cutout. As well, his CG would need upgrading, which would be hard since his case is not standard.
Watchmeister
I must say that for 1/4 gen ($1,000) I would probably be oriented toward a solid caseback rep and looking to add a gen dial ($400-$500 for a sausage dial). To me it all starts with the dial. Can't comment on the Davidsen stuff though as I have not seen anything new from him in the flesh in the last year. Best of luck with the hunt though.
