wisrep2010
just received 2 Vintage Rolexes from Angus and for the money I think you can't get anything better - I am no Vintage Rolex expert so I am not going to comment on accuracy of the replication. All I can say is that I really like those 2 starting with the Vintage Double Red Seadweller. Both of dials are not really black, but ever so slightly brown which adds to the Vintage look - I particularly like the bezel pearl which looks better than on any vintage rep I have ever seen and some wrist shots: Next up the Vintage Red Submariner with the "Meter First" dial - that crystal and the date mag is awesome and finally the wrist shots: Hope you enjoyed the pictures! cheers WR
highoeyazmuhudee
the dial and caseback are a shame on the 1665, agreed the bezel is great. not sure about the case depth on the 1665 being deep enough... get the custom ring from jmb and change that crystal, im getting a gen tropic 39 which i purchased before i realized the SD wasnt my style, probably going to be selling it soon. I know what you mean with the caseback - not sure though what's wrong with the dial?
highoeyazmuhudee
on the dweller the date window is way too small, instant tell, and the hour markers are incorrect and too glossy
JoJo35
Nice watches, enjoy them for what they are, since out of the box pieces have come a long way in the past few years. Perhaps these will inspire you to get the real thing one day. Wear them well JJ
wisrep2010
on the dweller the date window is way too small, instant tell, and the hour markers are incorrect and too glossy thanks for the clarification - I guess with some modding the glossy markers could be fixed. It is anyway not meant to fool anybody into thinking it is the gen Nice watches, enjoy them for what they are, since out of the box pieces have come a long way in the past few years. Perhaps these will inspire you to get the real thing one day. Wear them well JJ Thanks! The sole reason why I buy replicas is to either test drive one where I am trying to decide to get the real deal or buy replicas where I would never spend the amount of money on the real deal The only Rolex Vintage that I am considering as a real thing is the "Steve McQueen Explorer" - those can still be had for around $10K whereas the DRSD's in great condition go for around $30k... cheers WR
