txcollector
I recently bought an Evolution Ice Bang that's suppose to have a Tungsten bezel but it comes with a Titanium one. The result is a lighter and dull appearance compared with the gen. Is there an economically viable option to coat a Ti bezel with Tungsten (or to machine a Tungsten bezel)? I've heard of Tungsten DLC coating but I'm not sure if it can be done with just one bezel. Thanks
deniz21
hmm dont know dosnt come the V1 ice ban with a tungston bezel?? if so i think you could buy one and change it with yours
txcollector
The regular Ice Bang comes with what the cartel calls "darken steel bezel" whatever that means. Plus the Evolution has a smooth side bezel where the regular one has that diamond patter on the side like the regular ceramic bezels. deniz21
oh yes you are right tx, but maybe there is a solution for your problem in the near future, if i where you i would ask a dealer about the ultimate evolution line, maybe this one has the correct bezel
txcollector
I haven't seen anything on tungsten coming out (on any model/brand). It must be expensive to manufacture. I've heard there's a DLC tungsten coating but not sure if applies here.
Bike Mike
Tungsten is extremely expensive to manufacture due to it properties. It is a very hard and dense metal that is also very brittle. You need diamond tipped cutters, grinders or EDM to machine it.
