specialvat
Thinking of starting a Day-date all gold project, nothing crazy just standard rep parts maybe gen dial. Came across these two and would like professional opinions: From my basic understanding these should be 36mm Day-date dials yes? Any problems with them ? Thanks guys for you advice. chefcook
Dial feet won't fit ETAs, so you have to fasten them with something adhesive. Both are Tritium dials which means that you should only use them in a five-digit reference number (e.g. 18238). Modern Day Date cases would not be accurate to those dials. specialvat
Case wise this is as close as I can find for reasonable money: Lugs are not long enough but bezel seems slim enough when compared to: Thoughts please
chefcook
Watchmaker9 had some seriously nice day dates on his old homepage. They were not cheap at about $500, but the case quality and bracelet fitment were just stunning. Maybe he can still get one for you?
specialvat
He said a while back he is only doing sports rolex models, a shame really.
chefcook
Have you asked Narikaa? I think the WM9 day dates simply were TWBest day dates. Maybe Reg has still a source for them...
