Guest ThePhilosopher Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 My first IR shots that have come out...the D3 sucks for false color IR, hence the D200.
redwatch Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Very cool. Did you have the D200 sensor modified for this?
Guest ThePhilosopher Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 I'm using a 700nm filter 77mm size and post.
Member X Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Interesting pics I've used a 940 filter (I think?) and you get black skies
redwatch Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Do you think you will ever move to a D200 IR with the IR sensor modification? Some of the shots I have seen with that modification and combined with a filter are pretty outstanding. I was looking into Lloyd Chambers examples and they are pretty outstanding!
Guest ThePhilosopher Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 I'll try this for a while then think about the conversion.
Guest ThePhilosopher Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Note to self, shoot IR after the sun is up for an hour or so; I really like the last two. I need a shutter release for longer than 30second exposures for sure.
Guest ThePhilosopher Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Starting to get the hang of it:
redwatch Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Now we're talking! I really like that shot of the Canoe storage shed!
