Hi

I suddenly fell in love with the titanium and the first model came up to my mind was dsn 40b.

What's the overall qualities like and what mods are there to be done? Is fgd dial swap a must ?

what about cg? caseback? and I'm planning to get radiomir 292 as well. What's the word on the street for dsn 292?

The 40b is a cool watch, however the main issue with it straight from DSN is the case lugs. They are a little bit too fat and short, meaning you can't really fit a thick strap or OEM rubber strap as it's so tight. It fits, it's just really tight! I have a 40B, but I changed the dial (I love the pre-a dial) and crown (a must) and modified the CG pin. I'm very happy with the watch, I just wish I had a better case.

Here is the watch straight from DSN:

And here it is with an upgraded dial from FGD, upgraded crown from T, refinished the CG pin and custom caseback from Jackob:

The DSN hands are a bit stronger with the lume, so keep that in mind if you do a dial swap:

Great pre-A 40B Miles!

Here's mine, basically the same specs as yours:

pre-A 40B is one of those beautiful Pam models that got forgotten about simply because they never made it mainstream, and only a handful were made in their genuine form.

chers!

Well the rumor was, they were never made, period. The mishap happened during service when the dial was replaced. The Pre-A dials had the same part number as the A-B series dials, so they were put in by mistake. Best mistake they ever did as the fat indices look GREAT with Ti.
