7750 datewheel spring

So I actually misplaced my 7750 datewheel spring. I ordered a replacement, but it looks nothing like the original. This is for a PAM25A with no day or chrono functions. Here is a picture of what it looked like (notice no day hammer):

And here is what I got:

It's missing the two crimps in the spring.

Is this still okay to install, or is this the wrong part?

That looks odd. Certainly nothing like I've ever seen in a 7750 (although I'm not the expert).

I have a spare spring (the one you need). PM me with your address if you want it.
