naeems
I tried a gen UPO the other day, and the lume as absolutely marvellous. Really love it. How good is the lume on the OMEGA UPO? Can I upgrade it to a gen lume and how much does it cost?
Guest jsuperman17
yeah ask vac... it will be around 130ish for the lume... what you need to do is get a gen dial and hands.. forget the reluming.. for another 100 dollars you have the gen dial... the hands are about 40 bucks... be sure to upgrade to the gen crown and tube... Does it make a big diff.. Oh and How can I get these upgrades done? Thanks Edited October 26, 2010 by naeems
Jkay
The UPO is famous, because it accepts genuine Omega parts, which are not really that expensive at all. edit: late to the party. what jsuperman said.
Guest jsuperman17
Hahaha yes it makes a world of a difference! A gen dial in turn would have gen lume.. The crown and tube will eventually go bad since its a rep... The must have's for a UPO is gen dial, hands, crown and tube... And a gen bezel.. The bezel is pretty much a debate but will make a huge difference in terms of visual appeal...

naeems
Ofrei's website says they've discontinued supplying Gen dials for the Omega UPO! Where can I get one from?
Jkay
With proper maintenance a Swiss motored watch is good for generations. Why would you think it would have a set, short lifespan? Proper schedule is a tear down and cleaning every 5 to 7 years. Like any mechanical watch.
