borz
Seems like most of the 288 reps have a stem that's a bit too long, causing the crown not to screw in all the way. How hard would it be to shorten it? Is it a simple DIY project, or would we be better off taking it to a watchsmith? It would be way beyond awesome if someone could post a tutorial. rolli
i think the stem is not too long. the case-tube is made of two parts. the outer tube ring and the inner thread tube. but the thread tube must be a bit deeper in the case tube ring, but both parts are glued together in the case. with another radiomir my watchmaker splitted both tubes in connection with a ultrasonic bath, that the glue was removable and the case-tube came out. he glued both tubes together in the right condition. so the crown could be screwd till the stop point. rolli Seems like most of the 288 reps have a stem that's a bit too long, causing the crown not to screw in all the way.
