Subdials On The Breitling Bentley

Hi,

I was wondering if someone can explain what the subdials indicate on a Breitling Bentley (the big one). I did a search, and I found out (and figured out) that the subdial at the 9 o'clock is for the seconds.

But what are the ones at the 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock?

If it's like standard chronos (SMP, Navitimer, etc)

The 9 o'clock sub-dial is running seconds (like the sweeping seconds on a standard non-chrono watch).

The big "seconds" hand is the seconds counter for the chrono function.

The 6 o'clock sub-dial is the hours counter for the chrono function.

The 12 o'clock sub-dial is the 30 minutes counter for the chrono function.

So when the chrono function is activated, the big seconds counter goes round. When it goes through 60 seconds, the 30 minutes counter increments by 1. When the 30 seconds counter has reached 30 minutes, the hours counter will increment by 0.5 (it will be between hours) so you can see that 30 minutes has gone. When the 30 minutes goes round again, the hours counter will increment to the full hour. And so on.
