IWC 3717 Strap broken?

Hi all,

I got a replicas stainless bracelet for my IWC3717 Concepta edition and whilst I was fastening it to the watch head the deployant buckle became detatched from the other side.

See Pic.....

I have a feeling something has broken on it, but I was connecting it all on a table and I didn't see any broken parts come loose. It also doesn't look like anything has snapped as the edges are all clean, so I am hoping it may just need connecting back together?

I have dropped Nik an email to ask him for his advice, but in the meantime I thought I'd seek advice here.

Am I doing something daft, if so what? Or is it broken?

Please help!!!

It is broken. The tube that contains the springbar, which is attached to the clasp at left, in between the through-holes, should still be attached to the locking mechanism, at left. I haven't looked at the assembly closely enough to say for sure how they ought to be attached, but they should be attached nonetheless.

Damn it!

I have the same watch and I am scared this is gonna happen to mine as well.

Not sure there's an easy fix, save replacing the ss bracelet with a strap (not a very good option to me)

Keep us posted how you're going to fix it.

I took a quick look at mine, and I'm not sure how it is attached. Being a rep bracelet, it could simply be soldered.

On the bright side, I haven't see a lot of this online.
