Is it worth fixing?

Hi All:

Been a loooooonnng time since I've been on this board. Here's my dilemma...

Have a circa 2004-2005 Swiss ETA Sub purchased from Andrew (Trusty?). Was my daily watch since the day I got it right up until about 4 months ago. That's when the crown refused to screw back into the tube. Watch runs great, keeps great time and all but the crown sticks up and simply won't screw back in like it's supposed to.

Is it worth having fixed?

If so, and as I have 10 thumbs and can't imagine fixing it myself (unless the repair is completely idiotproof), is there someone in the northeast USA - that does this kind of stuff that can be recommended? If not, anybody else come to mind??

Unfortunately, I can't post a pix of the patient - forum rules.

Thanks in advance for your help!!
