Darrion88 Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 Hi guys, Been buying a few reps lately but the one that really caught my eye has also been the one I've waited the longest to pull the trigger on. I'm interested in an Omega Seamaster 300 or GMT and can't really pick between the two. I've seen some for amazing prices (Perfect Clones the 300 for $68 bucks last week) and fairly priced GMT at $108. These are great prices I'm just curious to know what i can expect from them. Accuracy of the rep is not as concerning to me as the detailing on the face and quality. I'm willing to spend a bit more to get one of these as I've always loved that watch. I'm also running into the same with the Speedmaster as there seems to be large gaps between the base models that run the 21j's and the Lemania's. Can't really find much info on the case and detailing between the two only that the Lemania's have differences but look accurate enough to be passable but are solid watches. Would love to hear what you guys think as you're the vets.
Darrion88 Posted February 15, 2011 Author Report Posted February 15, 2011 do you have the links for these? Yup, I've linked them here. The GMTs below: http://www.watcheden.com/omega-seamaster-professional-gmt-with-blue-wavy-dial-same-structure-as-eta-version-high-quality-i-24621-p-1.html http://www.watcheden.com/omega-seamaster-working-gmt-automatic-with-blue-dial-i-10208-p-1.html And here are the 300's. Like I mentioned before I'm more into seeing strong detail work and mechanical reliability than having this be an accurate rep (that would be nice too though). http://img.watcheden.com/productse77view/12/12639/1.jpg http://www.watcheden.com/omega-seamaster-james-bond-with-swiss-eta-movement-blue-wave-dial-i-23312-p-1.html Any recommedations would be greatly appreciated.
flex Posted February 15, 2011 Report Posted February 15, 2011 I am not familar with the accuarcy of these models.. in general, I tend to stay away from A21J GMT movement. The GMT hand will start to slip after a short time of use. I would go for the non-GMT models. Again, let's wait for the members who have the experiences to chimp in.
